Senior Staff Engineer, Software Development

- Coordinate project planning, execution, start-up, and closure within budget and timeline constraints - Collaborate closely with end-users including operations, maintenance, and environmental departments - Deliver technical guidance and leadership for capital projects and existing equipment reliability activities - Develop effective solutions throughout all stages of project lifecycles from design to commissioning - Draft mechanical specifications and conduct evaluations of bids for new equipment - Review vendor submissions to ensure compliance with specifications - Provide expertise in mechanical codes and support for equipment modification or repair - Supervise the work of external contractor engineers and designers for specification adherence and efficiency - Research and assess design proposals and specifications for feasibility, costs, and maintenance - Prepare cost estimates for mechanical equipment scope and troubleshoot project start-up processes - Interface with operations, vendors, and construction teams during design, build, and start-up phases - Work cohesively in a team environment while prioritizing and planning for short- and long-term needs
