Requirements
Must:
- A degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Network Security from a recognized institution is essential.
- Certifications in Microsoft Server systems such as Microsoft MCP, A+, Network+ are preferred.
- Alternatively, a mix of relevant training and work experience will be taken into account.
- Familiarity with Microsoft security tools, EDR, IPS, Next Gen Firewalls, IAM, PKI, encryption, and tokenization.
- Strong oral and written communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Aptitude for training and advising colleagues on diverse IT technologies.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge and skills in PowerShell scripting.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with information systems tasks by supporting the planning and daily management of IT systems, learning from senior staff.
- Follow protocols for troubleshooting basic IT issues using existing checklists and escalate complex problems when necessary.
- Provide fundamental end-user assistance for common software and hardware queries, set up new equipment, and document issues appropriately.
- Accurately document and escalate incidents using provided forms, referring unresolved issues to senior personnel.
- Engage in discussions for root cause analysis of recurring issues and recommend follow-up actions under supervision.
- Aid in the installation and configuration of software by following step-by-step instructions with guidance from senior staff.
- Regularly monitor system performance through routine checks and report any anomalies to senior staff.
- Support process enhancements by sharing observations and learning about divisional practices.
- Recognize and report any policy violations, consulting seniors before taking any action.
- Assist in risk mitigation efforts by applying patches and supporting hardware lifecycle tasks as directed.
- Begin learning scripting technologies like PowerShell for simple automation tasks with appropriate training.
- Participate in documentation efforts, providing feedback and assisting in updates of enterprise-wide documents.
- Stay updated on new technologies relevant to our entry-level responsibilities.
- Exhibit strong customer service and problem-solving skills by maintaining a positive attitude and effectively communicating with team members.
