Requirements
Must:
- Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Network Security from an accredited institution.
- Preferred certification in Microsoft security (such as SC-200 or SC-300) demonstrating expert-level competency and practical experience.
- A combination of equivalent training and substantial experience will be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.
- Advanced knowledge in Microsoft security platforms, EDR, IPS, Next Gen Firewalls, IAM, PKI, encryption, and tokenization.
- Proven experience in vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, and threat modeling at a senior level.
- Familiarity with mobile security, micro-segmentation, and industrial controls is advantageous.
- Exceptional communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, along with a demonstrated capacity to mentor and influence others.
- Self-directed with an openness to feedback and the authority to shape security strategies and standards.
- Previous experience in Microsoft security management or equivalent at a senior level.
Responsibilities
- Utilize expert judgment to independently investigate and report complex cyber incidents, setting benchmarks for incident response while mentoring junior staff on advanced cases.
- Supervise system cybersecurity operations, making critical decisions in uncertain situations and shaping escalation protocols for urgent issues.
- Lead the initial formulation of cyber incident triage strategies, establishing scope and urgency with authority, while guiding the team through intricate incidents.
- Establish organizational standards for identifying and documenting vulnerabilities, leveraging advanced tools and methodologies, and influencing escalation practices for atypical or high-risk findings.
- Direct advanced data analysis with CND tools (IDS alerts, firewall logs, host system logs), recognizing intricate threat patterns and mentoring others in expert analysis.
- Ensure the highest standards of incident documentation, reviewing discrepancies with expert judgment and influencing practices across the team.
- Conduct root cause analysis for major incidents, applying refined analytical skills and shaping investigative methodologies within the organization.
- Stay updated on cybersecurity threats and best practices, driving process enhancements and fostering team knowledge sharing.
- Design and optimize the Microsoft Security stack, resolving complex issues and leading strategic improvements that affect enterprise security.
- Supervise identity and access management (IAM) at an expert level, addressing multifaceted issues and shaping IAM standards and policies.
- Direct response efforts to active attacks in both cloud and on-premises settings, exercising advanced judgment and authority in critical scenarios.
- Provide expert insights on threat protection, leading initiatives that enhance team efficiency and impact organizational security practices.
- Independently report and conduct reviews of suspected policy violations, shaping standards for investigations requiring additional scrutiny.
- Lead risk mitigation efforts, making pivotal decisions to manage exposure while enhancing organizational risk management processes.
- Spearhead the development of enterprise-wide security architectures and standards, leading strategic discussions and initiatives that steer organizational direction.
- Oversee baseline and risk assessments, establishing standards for data collection and analysis, and guiding the team through complex findings.
- Offer advanced cybersecurity consultation, leading enterprise-wide health assessments and resolving intricate questions that influence organizational security posture.
- Conduct research on emerging cybersecurity threats, applying deep functional knowledge and affecting investigative approaches for complex incidents.
- Maintain and review the enterprise cybersecurity risk register, establishing standards for risk documentation and resolving exceptional entries with expert judgment.
- Lead forensic investigations and advanced cybersecurity activities, setting standards for data collection and documentation while mentoring junior analysts.
- Manage intrusion prevention systems and establish endpoint protection policies, leading strategic advancements and influencing routine security practices.
- Triage advanced threat detection (ATD) alerts, exercising competent judgment and shaping team responses to intricate alerts.
- Provide advanced advice and guidance on cybersecurity issues, mentoring junior analysts and facilitating the resolution of complex inquiries.
- Conduct training sessions and promote the adoption of new cybersecurity and communication technologies, enhancing team efficiency and mentoring others.
