Web Application Developer Associate

- Bachelors degree in computer science or a related discipline preferred, or an equivalent blend of education and hands-on experience. - 1 to 3 years of applicable experience in software development (including professional roles, internships, or significant project involvement). - Proficient in object-oriented PHP with experience in building web applications using a modern framework (preferably Laravel). - Understanding of relational databases and SQL, including the ability to create and modify queries and a basic grasp of indexing concepts. - Fundamental knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, various authentication methods (e.g., API keys, tokens), and data validation processes. - Basic familiarity with Linux command-line operations and standard web application environments. - Experience with version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflows. - Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive learning attitude; capable of navigating ambiguity with support. - Excellent written and oral communication skills, including documenting tasks and articulating technical topics to non-technical audiences. - (Preferred) Practical experience with Laravel within a production setting. - (Preferred) Background knowledge in e-commerce platforms (Adobe Commerce/Magento is a plus). - (Preferred) Understanding of front-end technologies such as JavaScript and modern CSS; familiarity with tools like TypeScript, Alpine.js, or Tailwind CSS is advantageous. - (Preferred) Exposure to AWS or cloud-hosted solutions (e.g., EC2, RDS) along with basic application monitoring and logging practices. - (Preferred) Experience in writing unit tests or utilizing automated testing frameworks.
