Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience in network engineering and security with an emphasis on network access control.
- Proficiency in configuring and managing Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE).
- Skilled in utilizing Cisco Secure Client and Microsoft native supplicants for 802.1X authentication.
- Experience with both wired and wireless authentication as well as posture assessment.
- Strong grasp of network security principles and best practices.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication, along with documentation skills.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, JNCIE, or other Cisco and Juniper security certifications are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) for network access control.
- Develop and enforce network access policies using Cisco Secure Client and Microsoft native supplicants for wired and wireless authentication.
- Test and implement posture assessments for endpoints to ensure they comply with security requirements.
- Troubleshoot and fix network access problems related to 802.1X authentication and posture evaluations.
- Configure and oversee network devices to uphold access control measures.
- Collaborate closely with network and security teams for seamless integration of network access control solutions.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Provide training and knowledge transfer to internal teams as required.
- Stay current with industry trends and technologies related to network access control and security.
Description

This hybrid role is primarily based in the DC/MD/VA area, with the possibility of onsite work at government facilities in Alexandria, VA as needed.
