Responsibilities
- We translate complex technical requirements into clear, concise, and user-friendly content while preserving technical integrity.
- We develop fresh ideas for content strategy and workflow improvements.
- We partner with engineering, quality assurance, and regulatory teams to make sure documentation aligns with industry requirements.
- We analyze information needed to create or revise policy, procedure, and form documentation.
- We manage task tracking and information sharing through collaboration tools such as SharePoint.
- We review and edit content produced by other team members.
- We refine diagnostic procedures and supporting materials for audiences without engineering backgrounds.
- We strengthen editorial and visual presentation standards across documentation.
- We recommend new layouts, formatting approaches, and document design enhancements as needed.
Description
We are hiring an Engineering Technical Writer to support modernization initiatives at Joint Base Langley-Eustis in Hampton, Virginia. This is a fully onsite role located at Langley Air Force Base, where you will work closely with engineering, quality, and regulatory stakeholders to improve technical policy, compliance, and end-user documentation. We offer a professional environment focused on clear communication, documentation quality, and operational support, with a posted salary range of USD 90,000 to USD 120,000 per year.
