Requirements
Must:
- High School diploma with a minimum of 10 years of extensive experience in systems and/or network vulnerability remediation (or equivalent experience)
- Active Secret clearance with the capability to obtain and maintain DEA suitability
- Proven track record in analyzing and determining technical solutions for addressing vulnerabilities within a large enterprise environment
- At least 5 years of experience in leadership roles
- Proficient in systems and/or network administration
- Practical experience in the remediation of vulnerabilities in systems and/or network infrastructure
- Excellent communication skills in interacting with customers and stakeholders
- Preferred: Familiarity with Qualys
- Preferred: Experience using ServiceNow ticketing system
Responsibilities
- Evaluate security policies, directives, and vulnerability data to formulate plans for remediation
- Collaborate with team members to identify technical solutions for mitigating vulnerabilities in a large enterprise
- Lead the team in applying patches and deploying remediation efforts
- Monitor and report on the status of vulnerability remediation
- Coordinate team activities to ensure remediation efforts align with customer security policies and timelines
- Employ the Qualys vulnerability scanning tool to assess vulnerabilities in the environment and confirm remediation post-deployment
- Assist technical teams in establishing baselines, ensuring scanning compliance, and executing remediation actions to achieve compliance
- Work alongside System ISSOs to create Plans of Action and Milestones (POAMs), address audit findings, and provide necessary information for security documentation and artifacts
- Offer technical advice regarding the remediation strategy for recognized events
- Ensure that security tools are installed on all systems, including servers, laptops, and desktops, and collaborate with systems administrators to rectify any deficiencies
