Requirements
Must:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field with a Cisco CCIE certification (both written and practical) in Routing and Switching, Service Provider, Data Center, and Wireless OR
- 8+ years of experience in Network Services with a bachelors degree in a relevant discipline
- Ability to obtain and retain a Public Trust Clearance
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Section Manager to assess, design, and test architectural solutions from the roadmap backlog
- Spearhead the transfer of user-approved designs and services to the Operations and Security Teams
- Deliver expert knowledge in Site-to-Site VPN
- Provide authoritative guidance on Remote Access VPN
- Strategically plan, architect, engineer, develop, test, implement, modernize, and improve the capabilities, capacity, and performance of the NIH Network and TIC Services
- Oversee software and hardware installation, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance
- Partner with the Security Section to fulfill security architecture requirements
- Keep technical architecture documentation up-to-date
- Resolve issues through troubleshooting and problem-solving
- Manage change effectively
- Support teams responsible for security implementation, monitoring, maintenance, and vulnerability management
