Systems Administrator (VMware)

- High School diploma with 6 - 9 years of relevant experience or equivalent - Active TS/SCI clearance required - Current CompTIA Security+ CE certification and one of the following: MS-102 (Microsoft 365 Administrator Expert) or LFCS (Linux Foundation Certified System Admin) - Experience as a system administrator in a mid to large Windows environment - Proficient with Active Directory - Ability to conduct daily system health assessments - Skilled in installing software on Windows Servers - Competent in troubleshooting within a Windows environment - Familiar with developing standard operating procedures for system functions - General knowledge of network tools like Infoblox and Solarwinds - Strong background in Linux administration - Experience with administrative tasks in an ESXi environment, including patching and updating, and managing VM resources - Understanding of High Availability, Dynamic Resource Scheduler, and vMotion - Competent in managing Virtual Networking with Distributed Virtual Switches (DVS) - Capable of performing periodic backups of vSphere Infrastructure Preferred Skills: - Knowledge of Service Now - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills - Proven track record of coordinating with stakeholders and collaborating with team members - Experience with administrative work in a Nutanix AHV Environment - General knowledge of backup technologies - Understanding of government processes for infrastructure maintenance, including HYCU and Pure Storage - Experience managing offline Linux-based repositories
