Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related discipline with over 8 years of relevant experience
- Active Secret clearance
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II certifications (e.g., Security+ CE, CySA+)
- Extensive hands-on experience with Windows Server installations, configurations, and management
- Proven expertise in managing VMware vSphere environments, including vCenter and ESXi
- In-depth knowledge of Active Directory, focusing on Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP administration
- Experience deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting Remote Desktop Services (RDS)
- Strong understanding of security principles, particularly in government or regulated settings
- Current CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification favored
- Familiarity with DoD or U.S. Coast Guard support environments is a plus
- Proficient in scripting languages such as PowerShell for automation
- Experience with TrueSight Server Automation (TSSA) or similar enterprise automation tools is preferable
- Industry certifications like Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, VMware Certified, or equivalent will be beneficial
Responsibilities
- Oversee the management and maintenance of governmental computer systems with a focus on VMware, TrueSight Server Automation (TSSA), and Remote Desktop Services (RDS)
- Install, configure, and support Windows Servers (2016, 2019, and later), ensuring peak performance and security
- Administer a large-scale VMware vSphere infrastructure, including ESXi hosts, vCenter Server, and managing the lifecycle of virtual machines
- Implement, configure, and resolve issues related to Remote Desktop Services (RDS) for secure remote access to applications and desktops
- Utilize TrueSight Server Automation (TSSA) for automating patch management, configuration oversight, and compliance in the server infrastructure
- Manage Active Directory services, concentrating on Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP management
- Enforce and maintain security protocols in accordance with governmental standards, which include system hardening and addressing vulnerabilities
- Monitor system functionality, act on alerts, and provide advanced troubleshooting for systems and application concerns
- Oversee and validate backup and disaster recovery solutions to guarantee data integrity and availability
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation of system settings, processes, and amendments
