Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field with 8+ years of experience (or equivalent expertise)
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CySA+)
- Hands-on experience with Windows Server 2012 R2, 2016, and 2019 in mission-critical environments
- Proficient with Microsoft Hyper-V server infrastructure management
- Experience administering Platform as a Service (PaaS) environments, including configuration and lifecycle management
- Familiarity with enterprise hardware management, vendor coordination, and diagnostics
- Ability to maintain and support server image management, including server deployments via PXE
- Experience operating within UNCLAS and SIPR networks
- Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware and software issues
- Proven documentation abilities for technical designs and operational processes
- Active Secret clearance
Responsibilities
- Engineer, implement, and address escalated technical tickets related to physical Hyper-V servers running Windows Server 2012 R2, 2016, and 2019
- Act as the PaaS Cutter System Administrator overseeing platform service availability and configuration control
- Deliver senior-level operational and engineering support for server images and platform builds, including testing and security hardening
- Collaborate with Dell and other hardware vendors for warranty service and lifecycle planning
- Maintain and improve Windows Deployment Services (WDS) for PXE-based server and platform deployments
- Work with various teams to enhance system performance and security measures
- Support U.S. Coast Guard cutter modernization initiatives, including server upgrades and OS refresh efforts
- Assist in maintaining shoreside Hyper-V servers with focus on lifecycle and modernization
- Ensure compliance with DoD and U.S. Coast Guard security requirements
- Document engineering solutions and generate system performance reports
- Analyze health and capacity of systems as needed
