Requirements
Must:
- High School diploma with 9+ years of relevant experience or equivalent background
- Active TS/SCI clearance required
- DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification (Sec+CE, SSCP, CND, CCNA Security, etc.)
- Extensive understanding of Oracle Database Architecture (12c, 19c, 21c) including SQL and PL/SQL
- Proficient in Linux/Unix operating environments
- Preferred: Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), Data Pump, and SQL Developer
- Preferred: Familiarity with backup and recovery methods (RMAN)
- Preferred: Experience in managing Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC)
- Preferred: Knowledge of migration processes from on-premise systems to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
Responsibilities
- Implements and preserves consistent operation and structural design of databases
- Conducts performance optimization on indexes and overall database performance
- Evaluates database design and system integration, provides backup solutions, and recommends improvements
- Ensures security and maintains integrity control measures
- Develops policies, procedures, and standards for database management while monitoring transactions and usage
- May create stored procedures and/or triggers
- Manages a variety of database systems, including Oracle and other DBMS
- Establishes and enforces standards and procedures for database administration and user management; audits and modifies data using Oracle/SQL/PL/SQL commands
- Oversees database project scheduling, backups for databases and transaction logs, notifications, and database replication across various SQL Servers and remote sites
- Collaborates with Database Designers and Information System Analysts in SQL and web-based database development
- Reviews technical designs, documentation, and materials produced by team members; creates and oversees high-level reporting systems using tools like Crystal Reports; researches and integrates new database and online technologies
