Requirements
Must:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field with 8+ years of experience
- 5+ years of focused experience in network security, Network Access Control (NAC), or similar roles
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) administration and NAC policy management
- Must have an active Secret clearance
- Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA Security, SSCP)
- In-depth knowledge of Cisco ISE architecture, profiling, posture assessment, and endpoint classification
- Proficient with 802.1X, MAB, RADIUS, TACACS+, LDAP, and Microsoft Active Directory integration
- Experience using Cisco Switch CLI for configuration and troubleshooting
- Strong understanding of certificate-based authentication (PKI, TLS/SSL, OpenSSL)
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as DISA STIGs and NIST 800-53
- Knowledge of network security tools like Cisco Firepower and Palo Alto NGFWs is preferred
- Basic scripting capability (Python, Bash or REST APIs) is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain our secure network infrastructure, emphasizing Zero Trust Architecture and NAC
- Serve as a subject matter expert on Cisco ISE
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of our NAC solutions in a dynamic, high-pressure setting
- Optimize and manage Cisco ISE for effective authentication, authorization, and accounting (AAA)
- Administer full ISE deployment including Policy Service Nodes and Monitoring Nodes
- Implement 802.1X and MAB for endpoint security and ensure posture assessment
- Configure guest access and BYOD policies in ISE
- Conduct regular system updates and health checks for ISE to maintain optimal performance
- Analyze authentication logs for compliance and troubleshoot issues
- Address authentication failures and network access problems with expertise
- Ensure NAC enforcement aligns with DoD policies and compliance requirements
- Collaborate with network and security teams to establish Zero Trust security measures
- Assist with certificate-based authentication implementations and troubleshooting
- Perform detailed traffic analysis to identify network anomalies.
