Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree with 12+ years of relevant experience or equivalent
- CCIE Certification: both written and practical
- Specializations required include Routing and Switching, Service Provider, Data Center, and Wireless
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Section Manager to evaluate, design, and test architectural frameworks and services from the roadmap backlog
- Oversee the transition of user-approved designs and services to the Operations and Security Teams
- Offer expertise in Service Provider backbone
- Provide specialized knowledge in Enterprise-level LAN/WAN
- Share insights on Enterprise-level Quality of Service (QoS)
- Supply expertise in Enterprise-level Traffic Engineering
- Strategically plan, architect, design, and enhance capabilities, capacity, and performance of the NIH Network and TIC Services in alignment with future state architecture goals
- Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain software and hardware
- Work with the Security Section to meet security architecture requirements
- Maintain comprehensive technical architecture documentation
- Conduct troubleshooting and problem resolution
- Implement change management processes
- Support resources responsible for security monitoring, implementation, and remediation
