Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree with 12 years of relevant experience or equivalent
- CCIE certification, with both written and practical exams completed
- Specializations in Routing and Switching, Service Provider, Data Center, and Wireless
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Section Manager to assess, design, and validate architectural designs and services
- Guide the transition of user-approved designs and services to Operations and Security Teams
- Provide expertise in Service Provider backbone structures
- Offer specialized knowledge in Enterprise-level LAN/WAN configurations
- Deliver insights on Enterprise-level DWDM implementations
- Strategically develop, design, and enhance the capabilities and performance of NIH Network and TIC Services
- Manage software and hardware installations, configurations, upgrades, and maintenance
- Team up with the Security Section to meet security architecture demands
- Keep technical architecture documentation up-to-date
- Engage in troubleshooting and problem-solving initiatives
- Oversee change management processes
- Support resources in charge of security implementation, monitoring, and vulnerability resolution
- Plan strategically for network architecture service transformations
