Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree with 12+ years of relevant experience or equivalent knowledge
- CCIE Certification: Written and practical examination completion
- Specializations needed within Cisco Certifications: Routing and Switching, Service Provider, Data Center, and Wireless in that order of importance
- Must possess or have the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Section Manager to assess, craft, and test architectural designs and services from the planned roadmap
- Oversee the transfer of user-approved designs and services to the Operations and Security Teams
- Deliver expert knowledge in Enterprise-level data centers
- Offer specialized expertise in Enterprise-Cloud environments
- Develop strategic plans, architecture, design, engineering, testing, implementation, modernization, and enhancement of the NIH Network and TIC Services to align with NIHs architectural goals
- Conduct software and hardware installations, configurations, upgrades, and maintenance
- Partner with the Security Section to fulfill security architectural requirements
- Maintain documentation for technical architecture
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
- Manage change effectively
- Support teams responsible for security implementation, monitoring, maintenance, and vulnerability remediation
- Engage in strategic transformative planning for network architecture services
