Requirements
Must:
- High School diploma with over 10 years of experience in application development (or equivalent experience)
- Active Secret clearance with the capacity to obtain and maintain DEA suitability
- Proficient in SQL and SQL Server
- Practical experience with SSIS operations (execution, logging, troubleshooting)
- Background in ETL operations (production support)
- Experienced with SFTP/FTP, batch file handling, and data ingestion processes
- Familiar with job schedulers (SQL Agent, Autosys, Control-M, etc.)
- Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities
- Experience in operations/SRE for data systems is a plus
Responsibilities
- Provide direct operational support for the current Enterprise Data Warehouse, established using the Kimball model and built on SQL Server and SSIS
- Monitor and address daily ETL workflows and SSIS package execution
- Handle file transfers (SFTP/FTP/API drops) and ensure seamless ingestion process
- Conduct root-cause analysis for job failures and escalate issues to developers as necessary
- Manage SQL Server jobs, schedules, alerts, and overall system health
- Participate in incident response and maintain an on-call rotation for EDW operations
- Document operational procedures and enhance system reliability
- Assist with minor SQL/data adjustments or downstream changes (non-architectural)
- Collaborate with EDW developers on system enhancements or resolutions
