Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Active Secret clearance.
- US Citizenship.
- Over 12 years of IT experience with large-scale integrated projects and at least 5 years of professional experience in Java development, ideally in federal or defense contracting environments.
- Strong command of Java SE/EE, Spring Boot, and RESTful services.
- Familiarity with cross-domain solution architectures, data labeling, and secure data transfer protocols.
- Experience in secure environments, particularly within the DOJ, with knowledge of FISMA, NIST, or RMF compliance.
- Proficient with build tools (Maven/Gradle), version control (Git), and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Exposure to containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS GovCloud, Azure Government).
- Understanding of secure coding practices and experience with static/dynamic code analysis tools.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work autonomously or collaboratively within a cross-functional Agile team.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable Java applications that facilitate cross-domain data exchange in accordance with federal standards.
- Collaborate closely with system architects, cybersecurity experts, and government stakeholders to implement essential mission features.
- Integrate with enterprise services and APIs, ensuring secure communications across various classification levels.
- Engage in Agile ceremonies and actively contribute to sprint planning, backlog refinement, and technical assessments.
- Produce clean, well-documented code that complies with federal security and software development lifecycle (SDLC) principles.
- Aid modernization initiatives by transforming legacy systems into cloud-native, containerized Java applications.
- Execute unit and integration testing and support automated deployments utilizing CI/CD pipelines.
- Diagnose and resolve technical challenges across development, staging, and production environments.
- Work with cross-functional teams to guarantee interoperability, data integrity, and adherence to cross-domain solution (CDS) policies.
