Network and Systems Administrator (SME)

- I will establish and sustain seamless operation of computer systems, including both hardware and software, in networked or standalone settings. I will maintain system integrity and perform necessary system and server upgrades. - I may create and document new methodologies to support network and system operations and execute changes to processes. - I will collaborate with support teams, help desks, customers, and other technical personnel to resolve issues. My duties include coordinating and performing operations and maintenance activities for networks and servers, identifying recurring issues, and suggesting strategies to minimize their impact. - I may also plan for the transition of development or production environments to new technologies, utilize system software to track the performance of system files, manage system data to ensure optimal performance, and analyze system requirements to determine appropriate server installation methods and procedures. - I will maintain and administer computer networks and related environments, including hardware, system software, applications, and all configurations. - I will devise, coordinate, and implement network and system security measures to safeguard data, software, and hardware. - I will conduct regular monitoring and analysis related to short and long-term planning for in-house systems. - I will ensure that all necessary documentation exists, including operational instructions. - I will write or modify basic scripts to address performance issues and automate administrative tasks. - I will recommend improvements to systems and network configurations and determine the hardware or software needs tied to these modifications.
