Requirements
Must:
- I possess a High School diploma or equivalent experience with a minimum of 9 years in the field.
- I hold an Active Secret or NATO Secret Clearance.
- I have a valid US Passport and am able to travel internationally (up to 40%) to customer locations in Eastern Europe, Africa, Southeast Asia, and South America.
- I am fluent in Spanish, both in conversation and in writing.
- I have proficiency in network diagramming and productivity tools (such as Visio, Lucid, and AutoCAD).
- I possess a current DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (such as Security+CE, CCNA Security, CySA+, CASP, etc.).
- I have entry-level experience in Cyber Network Defense (CND), Cybersecurity Operations, or a current CCNA Level Certification.
- I am knowledgeable about multi-area OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, and MPLS environments.
- I have experience in setting up IPSec VPNs, GRE Tunnels, and DMVPN architecture.
- I am familiar with L2 and L3 protocols over Campus/WAN networks.
- I have experience working with multitiered hub-and-spoke network designs.
Responsibilities
- I will operate in a fast-paced environment alongside a team of specialized engineers, providing engineering and implementation efforts for integration, modernization, and new installations for our partner nations and allies in Southern and European Command regions.
- I will install networking equipment and cabling in complex data center settings.
- I will provide operational and integration support for a multi-vendor infrastructure, including various routers, switches, vendor firewalls, and servers.
- I will assist senior engineers with routing and switching support while having a solid understanding of designing, testing, and implementing dynamic routing protocols (both IGP and EGP), along with a core understanding of layer two technologies and familiarity with major vendor command-line interfaces (Cisco IOS, JunOS, PanOS).
- I will configure, install, and manage routers, switches, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, virtual local area networks (VLANs), multi-protocol label switching (MPLS), IP routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), IP multicast, and quality of service (QoS) under the guidance of senior engineers and network architects.
- I will ensure the appropriate routing protocols are applied to optimize network performance from the Local Area Network (LAN) through to the Wide Area Network (WAN), Campus Area Network (CAN), and Storage Area Network (SAN), as well as the data center.
- I will assist clients in identifying design objectives, technical specifications, performance standards, and interoperability specifications to ensure system design fulfills all stakeholder requirements.
- I will document changes to networks and systems, alongside all required checklists within the configuration baseline.
- I am expected to have the skills and understanding of network drawing and the use of productivity tools (such as Visio, Lucid, AutoCAD, etc.).
