Requirements
Must:
- High School diploma or equivalent experience (minimum 9 years)
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- In-depth understanding of routing, switching, firewalls, and network security best practices
- Hands-on experience with enterprise networking platforms (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, Palo Alto)
- Proficient in using network monitoring, diagnostic, and performance analysis tools
- Familiar with network protocols including TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, DHCP, and STP
- Experience with VPN technologies such as IPsec and SSL
- Ability to analyze network traffic and address latency, connectivity, and performance challenges
- Familiarity with hybrid environments and enterprise IT solutions
- DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CySA+, CND)
- Preferred: IT certifications (e.g., ITIL, MCSE, VCP, CCNP)
- Preferred: Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
- Preferred: Technical experience in DoD Networks (NIPR, SIPR, and JWICS)
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain LAN, WAN, WLAN, and data center network environments
- Configure and manage routing and switching protocols, including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and VLANs
- Oversee firewalls, VPN solutions, and network security measures
- Monitor network performance and availability, and engage in proactive capacity planning and optimization
- Diagnose complex network issues and lead investigations into root causes
- Execute network upgrades, patches, and modifications
- Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and application teams on cross-functional projects
- Keep precise documentation of network diagrams, configurations, and standards
- Assist in network automation, scripting, and orchestration initiatives as necessary
