Requirements
Must:
- We require a high school diploma or equivalent, plus at least 9 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- We require TS/SCI eligibility.
- We need strong organizational skills to coordinate and advance multi-disciplinary initiatives.
- We require experience in network administration and circuit oversight.
- We require the ability to troubleshoot CPU logic issues and circuit failures.
- We require DoD 8140 Level II certification, such as Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CySA+, or CND.
- We require knowledge of contract management, AC and DC power systems, transformers, circuit protection, and protective relaying.
- We prefer a bachelors degree in a technical or engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.
- We prefer certifications such as CCMP, Prosci Certified Change Practitioner, or CPCM.
- We value adaptability and the ability to respond effectively to changing conditions and unexpected issues.
- We value strong problem-solving skills to resolve unforeseen challenges and support smooth implementation of changes.
Responsibilities
- We will rely on you to manage the performance, upkeep, and reliability of communication circuits that support network operations.
- We will expect you to coordinate with internal teams and external agencies to satisfy circuit requirements and resolve issues.
- We will have you monitor circuit activity, utilization, and overall health to maintain optimal performance and security.
- We will ask you to identify and correct circuit-related problems quickly to reduce downtime and preserve dependable communications.
- We will need you to troubleshoot system outages and accessibility concerns across the network environment.
- We will have you support the implementation, installation, and refresh of new or improved network capabilities at the site.
- We will expect you to investigate complex technical problems, gather detailed information, analyze root causes, and develop practical solutions.
- We will have you handle network administration ticket resolution and support closure efforts across Network Ops teams.
- We will ask you to classify service requests by type, subtype, location, device, priority, and other relevant details.
- We will have you use administrative network access to provision switches, routers, VLANs, and crypto components.
- We will expect you to research errors, incidents, and problems within network systems and perform incident analysis to identify emerging issues.
- We will need you to route service requests to the proper organization for resolution.
- We will have you complete root cause analyses and finalize problem resolutions tied to incident tickets.
- We may ask you to configure, deploy, manage, and maintain monitoring tools that help ensure service availability and performance.
Description
We are GovCIO and we are hiring a Circuit Manager to support modernization efforts at Joint Base Langley-Eustis in Hampton, Virginia. This is a fully onsite role based at Langley Air Force Base. The position offers a posted salary range of USD 120,000 to USD 130,000 per year. We are looking for someone who can help strengthen network operations, improve circuit performance, and support mission-critical communications in a fast-paced environment.
