Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field
- 12+ years of relevant experience or equivalent qualifications
- Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA Security, SSCP)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with Cisco routers (39xx, 4xxxx, 8K), switches (29xx, 38xx, 9K), and firewalls (55xx and above)
- 3 years of practical experience with TACLANEs (KG 175D, F, N, and G) and GEM management console at the configuration and engineering level
- Must possess an active Secret security clearance
Responsibilities
- Oversee and sustain SIPRNet network architecture, which includes routers, switches, firewalls, TACLANEs, and encryption tools, ensuring adherence to DoD and DISA security protocols
- Implement and uphold security configurations and hardening practices across network devices, servers, and endpoints, in alignment with STIGs and RMF standards
- Execute vulnerability scans (e.g., ACAS, SCAP), evaluate results, and address security issues to uphold system accreditation
- Create and manage comprehensive network documentation, including architecture designs, configuration baselines, and change management logs
- Assist RMF lifecycle tasks by preparing and renewing accreditation documents such as System Security Plans, POA&Ms, and eMASS entries
- Observe system functionality and security notifications; resolve connectivity, authentication, and configuration challenges in classified settings
- Collaborate with cybersecurity departments, system engineers, and program leaders to synchronize network resources with mission objectives
- Engage in technical assessments and change control committees; offer professional insights on design changes and security stance enhancements
- Stay updated with advancing technologies, DoD cybersecurity regulations, and best practices related to classified network operations
