Mid Systems Engineer - Core Technologies Focus

- Collaborate in a dynamic environment with a team of specialized Engineers, focusing on integration, modernization, and new installations for US partner nations and allies overseas - Exhibit technical expertise by delivering essential infrastructure while maintaining top availability, performance, and security - Coordinate planning, design, and installation of equipment by applying engineering knowledge along with advanced instruments and computer tools - Engage in system conceptual design and document the corresponding design concepts - Install new hardware, systems, and software for networks - Design, produce, and assemble network services, equipment, and devices - Create and implement system-level verification procedures and customer acceptance test plans - Monitor system performance and conduct performance enhancements - Review and ensure test plans/procedures fulfill contractual objectives while participating in the testing process to confirm requirement validation - Demonstrate robust networking knowledge including OSI network layers and TCP/IP - Experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting server environments across Windows, UNIX, and Linux - Fundamental understanding of Microsoft Active Directory, security protocols, and organizational structures - Familiarity with virtualization and converged infrastructures (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) - Cultivate collaboration with cross-functional teams at various organizational levels in a fast-paced environment - Apply critical thinking in agile and flexible team settings - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint - Possess excellent communication and writing abilities
