Requirements
Must:
- High School diploma with 6 - 9 years of relevant experience or equivalent qualifications
- Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CySA+, CCNA Security)
- Practical experience with Windows Server 2019/2016, including configuration, troubleshooting, and patch management
- Hands-on knowledge of Hyper-V virtualization, clustering, and virtual networking
- Familiarity with Dell PowerEdge hardware management, including RAID and diagnostics
- Understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IPv4
- Capability to perform scripting or automation via PowerShell
- Knowledge of applying DISA STIGs, MFA, ACLs, and secure configurations
- Experience with imaging processes, WDS, PXE deployments, and patch management
- Strong troubleshooting abilities across server, virtualization, hardware, and OS layers
- Proficiency in creating detailed documentation for configurations and processes
- Basic understanding of ITIL service management principles
- Must be eligible for an active Secret clearance
Responsibilities
- Provide Tier II/Tier III support for Windows Server 2019/2016 and Hyper-V, handling VM provisioning, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting
- Maintain system availability and configuration baselines for cutter-based and shoreside environments
- Assist in managing Hyper-V clusters, including tasks related to replication and performance tuning under senior guidance
- Conduct routine administration of Dell PowerEdge servers, covering diagnostics, firmware updates, RAID configuration, and storage management
- Oversee standard network services such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IPv4 configurations
- Apply DISA STIGs and security best practices for compliance across NIPRNet and SIPRNet systems
- Maintain Windows Deployment Services (WDS) for PXE-based imaging and system deployment
- Engage in system modernization activities such as OS upgrades and hardware refresh cycles
- Collaborate with teams in Engineering, Security, Commvault, Patch Management, and Vulnerability Management to enhance operational readiness and cybersecurity
- Draft and update documentation, including configuration guides and operational procedures
- Generate and assess reports on system performance, availability, and capacity
- Mentor junior colleagues by sharing knowledge and best practices
- Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support
