Requirements
Must:
We require candidates to possess a Bachelor's degree along with 12 years of relevant experience, or equivalent professional experience. Critical skills include deep expertise in data modeling and database theory, as well as proficiency in automation tools and scripting languages such as Python, Terraform, and Ansible. Strong interpersonal abilities are necessary for collaboration with clients and internal teams. Experience with virtual or cloud-based servers and applications is essential, as are excellent technical documentation and reporting skills. Additionally, experience in an Agile environment is preferred. Candidates should be eligible to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will demonstrate your expertise in Millennium data modeling, with a focus on schema design and optimization. You will work closely with data modelers to create scalable and normalized database architectures. Your deep understanding of database theory and modeling concepts will support VA enterprise systems. You will take the lead in developing system conceptual designs and producing comprehensive documentation to ensure clarity and efficiency in line with VA's goals. You will also define and execute system-level verification procedures and customer acceptance testing protocols to guarantee high-quality deliverables. Conducting thorough data analysis to uncover architectural migration patterns and resolve dependencies will also be a key aspect of your role.
