Requirements
Must:
- High School diploma with a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience or equivalent
- TS/SCI security clearance required
- CompTIA Security+ certification
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification (copy to be provided with application)
- At least 3 years of experience in Cisco Routing and Switching; strong technical competency in LAN, WAN, Network Management, and Security, including knowledge of DHCP and DNS
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Significant experience with Cisco Routing and Switching technology at a senior level
- Exceptional attention to detail, proficient documentation skills, and ability to produce clear, concise project reports
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking abilities
- Capability to work independently or within a larger team framework with established project management structures
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Intermediate to advanced experience in designing and implementing enterprise-level networks
- Intermediate to expert-level knowledge of EIGRP, BGP, QOS, DMVPN, and other WAN technologies
- Minimum of 3 years of Network Integration experience
- Demonstrated proficiency with Layer 2, 3, and 4 networking, with substantial knowledge of EIGRP and BGP routing protocols
- Advanced understanding of multicast protocols and architecture
- Experience with IPv4 networking
Responsibilities
- Collect information about the functionalities of company products to compare them with competing solutions
- Investigate and analyze the technical capabilities of both internal products and competitors
- Stay updated on advancements in hardware and software technologies
- Develop quantifiable requirements from customer specifications, system design, and formal verification methods
- Convert high-level product development strategies into detailed network and system requirement specifications
- Collaborate with other engineering teams to formulate lower-level implementation requirements
- Create and maintain development standards, practices, and procedures associated with overall network and system evolution
- Design system interfaces and integrate various network components to function cohesively
- Assess network performance according to evaluation criteria and technical performance standards
- Act as a liaison for customers, providing support for business development and helping clarify and shape their requirements
- Develop and implement Quality of Service (QoS) for voice, video, and data network environments
- Utilize performance management tools to troubleshoot, analyze, test, and propose solutions for performance issues
- Produce conceptual, logical, and physical network architecture documentation, including testing analyses and risk assessments
- Offer operational support for both WAN and LAN technologies
- Plan network layouts and configure systems tailored to user environments
- Analyze network topologies, traffic, and capacity demands
- Engage with DOD customers to bridge information gaps and communicate architectural and technical solutions
- Support procurement processes for necessary hardware and software
- Create comprehensive logical designs for advanced technologies including Gigabit Ethernet, EIGRP, BGPv4, QoS, DMVPN, IPv4, and Multicast architecture
- Perform network engineering and architectural tasks for a Wide Area Network (WAN) environment
