Requirements
Must:
- High School diploma with over 10 years of experience in a testing capacity within a software development team.
- Proven experience in testing software in both classified and unclassified federal environments.
- Practical knowledge of Java/Spring Boot, HTMX, SQL, and Oracle from a testing standpoint.
- Familiarity with using Azure DevOps for managing tests, work items, and CI/CD workflows.
- Experience conducting tests within Windows and Linux environments.
- Understanding of the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF), including security control assessments and ATO documentation.
- Awareness of STIGs and best practices in federal cybersecurity.
- Background in Agile Scrum teams.
- Excellent communication abilities, enabling effective interaction with government product owners and stakeholders.
- Capability to create clear and concise testing documentation suitable for audits and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement both manual and automated test cases for Java/Spring Boot, HTMX, SQL, and Oracle-based systems.
- Conduct functional, integration, regression, performance, and security testing in both Windows and Linux environments.
- Confirm API functionality, UI workflows, backend processing, and database interactions.
- Record defects and test evidence in Azure DevOps while keeping precise and repeatable test documentation.
- Create thorough and clear testing documentation to ensure proper testing procedures are adhered to and understood.
- Assist in testing within classified and unclassified settings, adhering to all federal security protocols.
- Engage in Agile ceremonies (standups, planning, refinement, retrospectives) as an integral part of the software development team.
- Incorporate testing tasks into Azure DevOps and work collaboratively to enhance automation coverage.
- Provide testing outcomes that facilitate ATO procedures, including validation of controls and security assessment evidence.
- Verify compliance with STIG guidelines and configuration baselines during system security evaluations.
- Effectively communicate test progress, risks, and issues to government product owners and stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with developers, engineers, and other team members during the software testing process.
