Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, along with at least one Cisco CCIE certification (written and practical)
- Required specializations include Routing and Switching, Service Provider, Data Center, and Wireless
- Alternatively, a minimum of 8 years of experience in Network Services with a relevant bachelors degree
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Section Manager to assess, design, and test architecture and services from the roadmap backlog
- Oversee the transition of designs and services accepted by users to the Operations and Security Teams
- Offer expertise in Site-to-Site VPN
- Provide specialized knowledge in Remote Access VPN
- Strategically plan, architect, design, engineer, and implement enhancements for the NIH Network and TIC Services
- Manage software and hardware installation, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance
- Work alongside the Security Section to meet security architecture standards
- Keep technical architecture documentation up to date
- Conduct troubleshooting and problem resolution
- Manage change effectively
- Support resources tasked with security implementation, monitoring, maintenance, and remediation
