Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree with 12+ years of relevant experience or equivalent qualifications
- CCIE Certification: both written and practical
- Cisco Certification specializations in the following order of importance: Routing and Switching, Service Provider, Data Center, and Wireless
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Section Manager to assess, design, and test architectural frameworks and services based on the roadmap backlog
- Guide the handover of user-approved designs and services to the Operations and Security Teams
- Offer expertise in Enterprise-level facilities security
- Provide knowledge in Enterprise-level industrial control systems networks such as SCADA systems
- Strategically plan, architect, design, engineer, develop, test, implement, modernize, and enhance the functionality, capacity, and performance of the NIH Network and TIC Services, aligning with NIHs future architecture goals
- Manage software and hardware installation, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance
- Partner with the Security Section to fulfill security architecture requirements
- Maintain comprehensive technical architecture documentation
- Conduct troubleshooting and resolve issues
- Oversee change management processes
- Assist resources responsible for security implementation, monitoring, maintenance, and vulnerability remediation
- Engage in strategic transformative planning for network architecture services
