Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree with 12+ years of relevant experience or equivalent qualifications
- CCIE Certification: Written and practical
- Specializations needed in Cisco Certifications: Routing and Switching, Service Provider, Data Center, and Wireless
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Section Manager to assess, design, and evaluate architectural designs and services from the roadmap backlog
- Guide the transfer of user-approved designs and services to the Operations and Security Teams
- Deliver subject matter expertise in Service Provider backbone
- Offer expertise in Enterprise-level LAN/WAN
- Provide knowledge in Enterprise-level DWDM (Dense Wave Division Multiplexing)
- Strategically plan, design, and modernize the NIH Network and TIC Services aligned with future architecture objectives
- Manage software and hardware installation, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance
- Partner with the Security Section to meet architectural security requirements
- Maintain up-to-date technical architecture documentation
- Conduct troubleshooting and problem resolution
- Oversee change management processes
- Support security implementation, monitoring, maintenance, and vulnerability remediation
- Engage in strategic planning for network architecture services
