Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of High School diploma with over 10 years of relevant experience in application development or similar field.
- Active Secret clearance, with the ability to secure and retain DEA suitability.
- Proficient in SQL and SQL Server.
- Experienced in SSIS operations including execution, logging, and troubleshooting.
- Background in ETL operations with a focus on production support.
- Familiarity with SFTP/FTP, batch file management, and data ingestion processes.
- Knowledgeable about job schedulers like SQL Agent, Autosys, or Control-M.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
- Experience in operations or Site Reliability Engineering for data systems is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on support for the existing Enterprise Data Warehouse operational functions, ensuring stable performance.
- Monitor daily ETL loads, troubleshoot issues, and manage job failures.
- Oversee file transfers to ensure seamless ingestion processes.
- Execute root-cause analysis for any job failures and escalate issues to developers as necessary.
- Manage SQL Server jobs, including schedules, alerts, and overall system health.
- Participate in incident response and maintain an on-call rotation for EDW operations.
- Document operational procedures and work towards enhancing system reliability.
- Assist with minor SQL/database corrections or adjustments (non-architectural).
- Collaborate with EDW developers on system enhancements and fixes.
