Requirements
Must:
- High School diploma combined with over 9 years of relevant experience
- Must hold a TS/SCI clearance
- A minimum of 9 years in IT support or a closely related field
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating professionalism
- Profound understanding of networking principles, such as TCP/IP, VLANs, subnetting, routing, and DNS/DHCP
- Capability to work autonomously while managing priorities and delivering exceptional customer service
- Proven ability to juggle multiple tasks in a dynamic work environment
- DoD 8140 certification at Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II (CompTIA Security+ or equivalent)
Responsibilities
- Oversee the setup, configuration, and upkeep of the organizations network infrastructure
- Monitor network performance and resolve connectivity problems across both LAN and WAN setups
- Execute network modifications, upgrades, and maintenance following authorized change management protocols
- Manage comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, IP plans, port mappings, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Ensure compliance with network security standards, including STIGs, vulnerability remediation, and system hardening
- Liaise with stakeholders, clients, vendors, cybersecurity teams, and IT service management
- Facilitate onboarding and offboarding, including network access setups and account management when necessary
- Assist in planning for lifecycle refresh, inventory management, and tracking of network resources
