Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree with 12+ years of relevant experience or equivalent qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) in Routing and Switching
- CompTIA Security+ Plus Certification
- Over 3 years of expertise in Cisco Routing and Switching, with proficiency in LAN, WAN, Network Management, and Security
- More than 3 years of experience in Network Integration
- Proven capability to manage multiple projects effectively
- Strong background in senior-level Cisco Routing and Switching
- Keen attention to detail and excellent documentation skills
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Effective communication and organizational abilities
- Ability to work independently or as part of a larger team under formal project management
- Intermediate to advanced experience in designing and implementing enterprise-level networks
- In-depth knowledge of QOS, 802.1X, Zone-Based Firewalls, and related WAN technologies
- Advanced familiarity with Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking protocols, specifically OSPF, EIGRP, and MP-BGP
- Extensive understanding of multicast protocols within WAN environments
Responsibilities
- Collects data regarding the capabilities of company products and evaluates competing technologies
- Remains informed about advancements in hardware and software sectors
- Develops quantifiable requirements based on client descriptions and system planning, ensuring compliance through systematic verification
- Converts high-level product development strategies into detailed network and system specifications and collaborates with other engineering teams for implementation
- Establishes and coordinates the creation of standards and procedures applicable to network and system development
- Crafts system interfaces and integrates network components for cohesive operation
- Evaluates performance against defined criteria and technical benchmarks
- Acts as a liaison for clients to promote business development and gather requirements
- Designs, develops, and implements Wide Area Network (WAN) environments
- Formulates and executes QoS strategies in voice, video, and data networking environments
- Utilizes network/application performance management tools for troubleshooting and optimization
- Constructs conceptual, logical, and physical network architectures and associated documentation
- Provides operational support for WAN and LAN systems
- Plans network architectures and configures systems for end-user settings
- Evaluates network topologies and assesses traffic and capacity needs
- Collaborates with DOD clientele to address information gaps and articulate architectural solutions
- Aids in the acquisition process for hardware and software
- Develops intricate logical designs for various networking areas including protocols and services
- Conducts network engineering and architecture tasks within a WAN framework
- Possesses foundational knowledge of Identity Services Engine (ISE) distributed deployment
