Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors Degree with over 12 years of experience in large integrated projects - Extensive background in developing strategic systems architecture - Proficient in system design and development - Experienced in system and network development - Ability to create requirement artifacts such as data flow diagrams, and UML models including sequence, component, deployment, and domain models - Familiarity with software development, including coding skills and knowledge of APIs and SDKs - Strong technical architecture understanding, particularly with networks, routers, switches, firewalls, servers, and operating systems - Solid experience with web servers, API gateways, service-oriented architectures, web services (REST), and integration patterns related to federal security practices - Proven ability with databases, both NoSQL and SQL - Knowledgeable in cross-domain solution architectures, data labeling, and secure data transfer protocols - Experience in secure environments, preferably within DOJ, with knowledge of FISMA, NIST, or RMF compliance - Ability to communicate vision and technology solutions effectively, along with modernization roadmaps - Familiar with REST, Java, and ColdFusion - Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies and leading cross-functional teams - Must possess an active Secret clearance and be able to obtain DEA suitability.

Responsibilities

- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members, acting as a subject matter expert across various domains - Shape the organizations strategic direction through proactive planning and collaboration with key stakeholders - Design, implement, and ensure solution architectures are consistent with Data and Enterprise Architecture standards - Lead the development and documentation of solution methodologies, maintain architecture repositories, and encourage best practices - Research emerging technologies to propose cost-effective and innovative solutions across cloud, cybersecurity, DevSecOps, and enterprise platforms - Work closely with delivery teams, project managers, vendors, and government stakeholders to estimate, plan, and oversee implementation of solutions - Create technical artifacts including system diagrams, detailed design documents, workflow diagrams, and project plans - Deliver ongoing technical guidance throughout solution implementation within Agile cross-functional teams, managing risks and liaising with senior leadership - Review and provide feedback on architectural designs from fellow architects to ensure compliance - Drive the modernization of legacy systems and align technology initiatives with mission objectives, fostering collaboration across various teams.
