Requirements
Must:
- 7 years of progressive experience in security engineering across various domains such as Security Architecture, Cryptography, Network, Cloud, Mobile, and Web Security.
- Expertise in Secure Development Lifecycle, Security by Design, and Shift Left methodologies.
- Proficient in Threat Modeling, Architecture Review, Penetration Testing, Code Review, SAST, and DAST.
- Strong scripting skills in programming languages like Python, C, C++, Java, Ruby, and PowerShell.
- Solid understanding of applying security best practices for compliance.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills.
- Bachelors degree in computer science or a related field (Masters degree or PhD is a plus).
- Experience in the hosting industry or cloud computing is advantageous.
- Familiarity with hardware security is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Identify security vulnerabilities within applications and IT infrastructure and provide guidance for remediation to system caretakers.
- Collaborate with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and development teams to devise innovative strategies to minimize vulnerabilities on a large scale.
- Develop repeatable and reusable security processes and frameworks.
- Analyze quality issues and work toward discovering both overt and subtle security flaws.
- Participate in project scoping and oversee projects from initiation to completion, ensuring thorough ownership of all stages.
- Leverage industry experience to manage and resolve complex security incidents, policy inquiries, and technical security risks.
