Requirements
Must:
- Proficiency in designing, developing, testing, and implementing COBOL-based applications
- Experience in analyzing and debugging COBOL programs to resolve production challenges or improve functionality
- Ability to write and maintain effective JCL scripts for executing batch jobs and workflows
- Expertise in developing and optimizing intricate SQL queries and DB2 database procedures for application logic and reporting
- Familiarity with participating in code reviews, system integration testing, and performance optimization
- Proven experience in the banking sector within recent projects
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and implement COBOL programs specifically for banking applications
- Analyze and debug existing COBOL programs to fix production issues or enhance their functionality
- Write and maintain efficient JCL scripts to run batch jobs and workflows
- Develop and optimize complex SQL queries along with DB2 database procedures to support application logic and reporting
- Engage in code reviews, system integration tests, and tune application performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts and quality assurance personnel to achieve project goals
