Requirements

Must:
### - A Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. - At least three (3) years of experience in telecommunications and/or data networking. - Ability to meet strict deadlines, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and resolve customer conflicts successfully. - Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities. - Proficient knowledge of optical systems and signal flow designs utilizing ROADM technology in both fixed and flex grid networks. - Experience with Microsoft Office or Google applications, as well as project management software, with an aptitude for logical reasoning to identify problems, gather data, and draw valid conclusions based on facts. - Familiarity with various optical systems such as Fuji, Adva, Ciena, Cisco, Infinera, Nokia, as well as platforms like Salesforce, ServiceNow, and Metasolv. ###

Responsibilities

- I will be responsible for designing, link engineering, and implementing enhanced capacity on our existing DWDM network. - I will maintain effective communication with internal order management personnel and various teams regarding the status of capacity fulfillment. - It’s essential for me to meet or exceed daily and weekly performance targets. - I will oversee design planning, record creation, and capacity fulfillment across the U.S. and Canada. - I will collaborate with Project Managers and Design and Implementation Engineers to address issues during capacity projects. - I will design the DWDM network according to Network Architecture standards while anticipating future growth for our network and customers, implementing circuit designs as necessary. - I will provide strategic direction in the circuit design function for the Engineering Department to meet transport and facilities requirements. - Accurate review of capacity requests is my responsibility, ensuring clarity in design-related matters with the relevant departments. - I will maintain commitments to customers and meet deadlines using the Salesforce database, providing project status updates as needed. - I will support field operations in troubleshooting provisioning issues, verifying technical data to anticipate challenges. - Exercising interpersonal skills is crucial when working with internal customers, and I will manage my workload to identify critical issues that require daily prioritization. - I will navigate obstacles within the order flow to ensure the timely completion of tasks, demonstrating initiative in my work. - I will participate in operations-related projects as needed and provide support to management during customer or network escalations. - Staying current with technology and networking solutions is necessary, and I will engage in cross-training as required. ###

Description


This position is a remote, work-from-home role offered on a 6-month W2 contract basis with the possibility of extension. Please note that our payroll operates on a weekly schedule, with payment received two weeks in arrears, meaning your initial paycheck (equivalent to one week’s pay) will be distributed on the Friday of the third week. We also offer benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and a 401K plan. The pay range for this position is $35.00 to $40.00 per hour.
