Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in computer science or a related field with at least seven (7) years of experience in software development, or a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in a relevant area.
- At least five (5) years of experience in programming CNO tools.
- Strong expertise in two or more programming languages, such as C, C++, Rust, Go, or Java.
- Proficient in common scripting languages, including Python, Perl, Ruby, and Bash.
- Skilled in programming techniques that evade host and network intrusion detection.
- Knowledgeable in network socket programming and network protocol analysis/implementation.
- Experience in developing within multiple isolated environments and deploying into test settings.
- Background in application development for Windows.
- Familiarity with x86/x64 or ARM Assembly programming.
- Proficient with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies like Scrum and Kanban; understanding of kernel development on Windows.
- Knowledge of disassemblers/decompilers such as IDA Pro, Ghidra, Radare, or Binary Ninja.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong focus on detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, capable of working independently or within a team setting.
Responsibilities
- Engage in research and development as well as testing and evaluation for software applications, converting operational requirements into technical solutions that deliver innovative cyberspace capabilities or modernize existing ones.
- Show proficiency in creating, debugging, patching, and maintaining software and applications across various programming languages.
- Support the enhancement of development environments by implementing best practices for software development within both legacy and emerging platforms.
- Utilize computer-assisted software engineering (CASE) tools, automated testing tools, and infrastructure as code (IaaC) capabilities effectively.
- Assist in integrating new or improved cyberspace capabilities into operational platforms that support intelligence and cyber operations.
- Communicate effectively to help the team deliver high-quality products on schedule while actively identifying and mitigating risks.
- Be a proactive team player dedicated to uplifting others while continuously learning and finding ways to enhance team performance.
- Exhibit the ability to make decisions and provide estimates and recommendations promptly, exercising sound judgment based on experience and professional standards.
- Stay informed about the latest advancements in software development, research, and technology to recognize opportunities for innovation.
- Demonstrate the capability to research and implement new tools, techniques, and solutions, and continue to grow skills through sharing knowledge and utilizing available training resources.
