Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience in similar roles within not-for-profit development, environmental, feminist, Indigenous, human rights, or funding organizations.
- Strong background in database management for development, including gift entry and report creation, with a particular focus on data integrity and donor relations.
- Advanced proficiency with Raisers Edge (NXT and the database version); familiarity with other CRMs like Salesforce is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Exceptional attention to detail and capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work autonomously while collaborating with various teams.
- High-level skills in Microsoft Office Suite including advanced spreadsheet capabilities for data analysis; experience with project management tools like Trello preferred.
- Excellent organizational abilities and proactive work ethic.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven problem-solving abilities and capability to troubleshoot diverse issues.
- Flexibility in responding to the evolving needs of the team and organization.
- Experience engaging with diverse communities across different identities in a virtual setting.
- Fluency in English, with proficiency in additional languages being a plus.
- High level of computer literacy including MS Office Suite, Google Apps, instant messaging, and virtual collaboration software such as Trello, Zoom, Slack, Asana, Raisers Edge, Smart Simple, Salesforce, or other donor management systems.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary administrator for Raisers Edge, ensuring the data remains accurate, consistent, and comprehensive.
- Provide training and support to the Philanthropic Partnerships team for effective use of the database, keeping donor information current and actively utilized for relationship management.
- Manage ongoing troubleshooting and serve as liaison with Blackbaud regarding technical matters and system improvement opportunities.
- Maintain data integrity through routine audits, clean-ups, and adherence to best practices.
- Facilitate integration with related systems, including email marketing platforms like Mailchimp and Omatic.
- Construct queries, generate reports, and support data analysis for the Philanthropic Partnerships team.
- Create and revise standard operating procedures for database and gift processing workflows.
- Identify and implement enhancements to systems, processes, and data quality.
- Coordinate with Philanthropic Partnerships, Finance, and Grants Management to ensure alignment in data, reporting, and workflows.
- Manage gift processing and oversee donor acknowledgment workflows, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in entry and documentation.
- Monitor and report on restricted gifts, ensuring consistency with Grants Management.
- Collaborate with Finance to reconcile fundraising revenue with the Financial Edge database and generate detailed revenue reports for Development and Finance teams.
- Assist the Finance team with annual financial audits by organizing and retrieving documentation related to gifts and donors.
- Support all fundraising and stewardship campaigns, including crafting and tracking segmented mailing and email lists, and analyzing campaign success metrics.
- Regularly check GGFs mail and email for donor communications, responding to general inquiries or requests for assistance regarding donations.
- Provide additional administrative support for the team and Co-Directors of Philanthropy as needed.
