Requirements
Must:
- Associate degree or an equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or other relevant fields
- Microsoft, Cisco, Linux, or comparable certification is advantageous
- Proven experience in Systems Support, Technical Support Engineer, Desktop Support Engineer, IT Help Desk Technician, or a similar capacity
- Practical experience with Windows/Linux operating systems
- Solid understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and various tech products
- Capacity to diagnose and address basic technical challenges
- Familiarity with remote desktop applications and help desk software
- Strong problem-solving aptitude and communication abilities
- Skill to provide clear technical assistance, both written and verbal
- Additional certifications in Microsoft, Linux, Cisco, or related technologies are a plus
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot software, hardware, communication, and network issues to assist customers with their everyday computer challenges
- Facilitate the imaging of new computers for deployment and assess older computers for potential repurposing or recycling
- Set up, configure, and sustain desktops, laptops, printers, phones, and peripherals
- Identify and resolve network and VOIP-related problems
- Configure and install application software and operating systems
- Manage users and resources utilizing Microsoft Windows Active Directory, Microsoft Office 365, and other platforms
- Support IT security initiatives by enforcing policies, managing antivirus software, and enhancing phishing awareness through training and simulated tests
- Provide technical support and guidance to employees, while creating user-friendly documentation
- Engage with users to identify system issues, analyze ticketing trends, and report findings
- Assist with the management of company phone systems and mobile devices
- Collaborate with IT team members on diverse projects
- Execute additional duties as assigned
