Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- 7+ years of experience in business analysis or architecture, with at least 4 years focusing on Pega programs.
- Pega Certified Business Architect (PCBA/CPBA) is required; CSSA/CSBA certification is preferred.
- Proven track record of delivering across the complete lifecycle: from discovery to design, build support, testing, go-live, and adoption.
- Expertise in Pega case management, workflow orchestration, rules/decisioning, integrations, and data modeling.
- Strong facilitation and communication skills with senior stakeholders; adept at leading rapid decision-making.
- Solid understanding of application architecture, integration patterns, and technology stacks.
- Ability to interpret business processes and convert them into technical solutions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for navigating complex technical challenges.
Nice to have:
- Experience in insurance, financial services, or healthcare operations, specifically in claims or policy servicing.
- Familiarity with Genworths values and customer mission, with prior exposure to LTC claims or servicing as a plus.
- Working knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban), along with tools like Jira/Azure DevOps, DCO workshops, and design-thinking techniques.
Responsibilities
- Convert business requirements into technical designs for applications, data, and infrastructure.
- Ensure that solutions align with Genworths Architecture Design Framework (ADF) and Enterprise Architecture principles.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architects, Principal Architects, and development teams to ensure consistency and pattern reuse.
- Participate in the Architecture Review Board (ARB) processes and prepare necessary solution review documentation.
- Provide technical leadership throughout solution implementation and integration.
- Drive the business architecture for complex initiatives, encompassing process modeling, case/lifecycle design, persona & channel strategy, and data/interface mapping in Pega.
- Lead requirements discovery activities, including journey mapping, use cases, BRDs, and epics/stories, aligning them with Pega capabilities and frameworks.
- Define the solution scope, MVPs, and incremental releases, balancing business outcomes, operational risk, compliance, and technical constraints.
- Partner with Product Owners, UX, and Pega SSAs/CSAs to transform business rules into decision strategies, DCO assets, and actionable acceptance criteria.
- Develop functional designs, mockups, prototypes, and test plans; oversee SIT/UAT to confirm value realization and readiness for production.
- Mentor agile teams and stakeholders on Pega methodology and best practices, encouraging continuous improvement among peers.
- Contribute to platform governance, including backlog triage, reuse standards, data quality, compliance documentation, and support audits as necessary.
- Assist in crafting business cases and roadmaps with measurable KPIs such as cycle time, STP rate, NIGO reduction, CSAT, and operational costs.
