Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in computer science, information technology, cloud engineering, or a related field
- 5 years of experience with Python (including pandas, PySpark, scikit-learn), familiarity with PyTorch/TensorFlow is advantageous
- 5 years of experience with ML tooling, particularly with SageMaker or similar platforms (such as Kubeflow, MLflow/Feast, Vertex, Databricks ML)
- 5 years of experience with pipelines and orchestration tools like Step Functions and event-driven designs (EventBridge/SQS/Kinesis)
- 3 years of experience with AWS foundations like ECR/ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS/Aurora, DynamoDB
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD frameworks (CodeBuild/CodePipeline or GitHub Actions/GitLab)
- Proven experience in feature pipelines for batch/stream processing and performance tuning
- Demonstrated ability to conduct unit and integration tests for data and models, including data drift and performance monitoring
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (preferably Terraform)
- Strong communication skills, with a collaborative attitude and focus on automation and documentation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with data security and governance best practices in regulated environments (such as HIPAA, SOC2)
Responsibilities
- Transition machine learning models from experimentation to production deployment (for batch, streaming, and low-latency endpoints) including feature engineering, training, and evaluation
- Manage core components of the ML platform, including the model registry, feature store, and standardized CI/CD processes for ML
- Develop and maintain robust data/ML pipelines utilizing orchestration tools such as Step Functions, Airflow, or Argo
- Implement comprehensive monitoring, data validation, and model drift checks, as well as alerting for service level agreements
- Ensure governance and risk management practices are in place for model lineage, reproducibility, and cost management
- Collaborate with both onsite and remote teams, providing mentorship to data scientists on best practices for packaging and testing
- Create infrastructure templates and modules that enable data science and engineering teams to deliver products efficiently and safely
- Explore and prototype new methodologies while troubleshooting issues across data, models, and infrastructure layers
