Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in computer science, statistics, or a related discipline
- 7 years of relevant experience in data management fields, including data integration, modeling, optimization, and data quality
- 7 years of proficiency with database programming languages and advanced analytics
- Masters degree in computer science, statistics, or a related field (preferred)
- Hands-on experience with data testing (preferred)
- Proven success with data preparation tools
- Extensive experience using data engineering tools (e.g., Glue, Lambda, Athena, AWS)
- Expert knowledge of Business Intelligence software
- Significant experience with both open-source and commercial data science platforms
- Familiarity with Lean and/or Agile methodologies
- Strong background in Data Management architectures and processes
- Ability to design, build, and manage data pipelines effectively
- Experience with large, diverse datasets for optimizing data pipelines
- Proven track record in extracting business value from large datasets
- Proficient in working with DevOps practices, including version control and automated processes
- Capability to communicate complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Competence in working autonomously and collaboratively across multiple assignments with tight deadlines
- Strategic thinker with a strong outcome-orientation
- Professional demeanor with the ability to cultivate cross-functional relationships
- Ability to mentor junior analysts when necessary
- Proven leadership in cross-functional team settings
- Willingness to learn new technologies as required
- Background in Financial Services (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and sustain data pipelines
- Contribute to the enhancement of the data management framework to facilitate automation in data integration and management
- Collaborate with data science teams and business analysts to refine their data requirements for various data initiatives
- Educate colleagues in data preparation techniques to enable efficient data use
- Work alongside data governance teams to assess and endorse content for the curated data catalog
- Communicate complex results effectively to varied audiences
- Work efficiently both in teams and independently, balancing multiple tasks under tight schedules
- Employ strategic thinking and curiosity to focus on achieving results
- Present a professional image and foster relationships across departments
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to team members, enhancing their collaboration across the organization
- Engage with stakeholders to clarify and ensure alignment on business needs
- Monitor and evaluate technology trends, assessing their potential impacts
- Coach individuals through organizational changes and exemplify role-model behavior
- Carry out additional duties as needed
