Requirements
Must:
- Degree in accounting, quantitative finance, statistics, mathematics, economics, data analytics, or a related quantitative discipline preferred, with a minimum of 5 years of pertinent experience.
- Significant experience with advanced Excel for efficient analysis of complex datasets.
- Proficiency in managing large data sets and relational databases.
- Exceptional quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong communication, presentation, and writing skills.
- Competency in SQL for querying and displaying large data sets while optimizing workbook performance.
- Proven experience with SQL for querying complex data structures and working with analytics.
- Expertise in financial statements and general ledger/subledger data is highly favored.
- Ability to convert intricate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience with various databases and a solid understanding of data and financial reporting principles.
- Experience in implementing or modifying financial systems or applications, especially those linked to accounting functions.
- Robust data and financial analytical skills; capability to grasp complex financial concepts quickly; experience in the mortgage industry is preferred.
- Ability to efficiently prioritize and manage multiple tasks of varying scope.
- Strong focus on precision, accuracy, reliability, and timely delivery.
- Excellent teamwork skills and a positive demeanor.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate outstanding expertise in Excel for analyzing complex datasets, validating data quality, conducting reconciliations, and transforming data for forecasting inputs and outputs.
- Collect and articulate precise data transformation and financial process requirements.
- Develop high-quality and highly complex project deliverables concentrated on requirements, reconciliations, and testing outcomes.
- Create and sustain technical, process, and data-related documentation.
- Aid in acceptance testing; design and execute test cases, reconciliations, and regression tests; analyze and reconcile intricate test results using Excel and SQL.
- Enhance and automate validation and preparation processes for data inputs.
- Maintain, update, and monitor development features and stories in JIRA.
- Diagnose, track, and resolve project issues, dependencies, and configuration modifications.
- Lead the analysis, requirements gathering, and testing of financial reports utilizing SQL and advanced Excel.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of data and reports related to finance, forecasting, and risk data.
- Produce engaging and detailed materials such as user guides, specification documents, release notes, and testing results.
- Support an array of project management functions, including control requirements and execution, issue resolution and analysis, data transformation and cataloging, and user training.
