Requirements
Must:
- Extensive experience migrating applications from on-premise to public cloud environments (AWS, Azure)
- Strong expertise in Terraform for Infrastructure as Code
- Experience in designing and implementing cloud solutions
- Knowledge of container technologies (OpenShift/Kubernetes) and Redis
- Familiarity with CI/CD principles and tools
- Proficiency in API design
- Technical skills in Python, Snowflake, RabbitMQ, Kafka, MongoDB, Postgres, Tomcat
- Experience with AWS services such as Auto Scaling, ECS, EFS, Lambda, ElastiCache, RDS, DynamoDB, and Direct Connect
- Familiarity with Azure services like Express Route, Azure AI Foundry, and Event Hub
- Excellent leadership, communication, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Team-oriented mindset capable of integrating with a larger group
- Desired: AWS certification, Azure certification, Google Cloud certification
- Previous experience in the financial industry
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and manage infrastructure solutions for cloud environments, supporting both on-premise and public cloud infrastructure
- Collaborate with internal architecture teams to establish design patterns that ensure Active/Active resiliency
- Create deployment solutions for CI/CD, emphasizing Continuous Delivery
- Design solutions across multiple regions and availability zones, including storage and network configurations
- Work closely with internal teams to establish appropriate access controls and restrictions
- Ensure all regulatory and compliance standards are adhered to
- Monitor and assist in performance optimization
- Partner with Engineering, developers, and stakeholders to align modernization strategies for the tech stack

We are currently looking for an Infrastructure Design Engineer (Cloud) for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC, Plano, TX, or Pennington, NJ. This role is a 12+ month contract focused on modernizing processes and migrating applications to the cloud.
