Requirements
Must:
- Over 8 years of extensive functional expertise in Expert FI-AR & FI-AP, particularly in high-volume payment processing and intricate AR posting logic
- Strong grasp of healthcare-specific procedures, including 837/835 transactions, HIPAA-compliant data flows, and remittance advice processing
- Proficient in SAP enhancements (User Exits, BAdIs), debugging techniques, and working with ABAP teams for bespoke developments
- Demonstrated experience in interfacing SAP with external systems through IDocs, file-based exchanges, and Payment Medium Workbench (PMW)
- In-depth understanding of SAP ECC 6.0 (EHP7) functionalities and essential financial table structures
- Experience in supporting or engaging with medical claims or healthcare-related financial processes
- Proven capability to manage the entire process: Requirements, Configuration, and Testing
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal guidance, alongside strong communication skills
Desired Skills:
- Prior exposure to a Payer/Insurance environment
- Experience within a HANA Enterprise Cloud (HEC) environment
- Capacity to convert complex medical billing logic into standard SAP financial postings
Responsibilities
- Design and set up intricate interfaces for medical claims systems, ensuring a smooth process for AP provider payment requests and AR host claim reimbursements
- Lead the functional setup of new AR capabilities, including high-volume bulk invoicing and automated payment postings
- Develop and implement detailed functional test scenarios, integration test cases, and conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Diagnose posting errors, interface failures, and performance issues to guarantee a stable production release
- Actively mentor the current full-time Functional Analyst through collaborative design sessions and thorough documentation of new interface mappings and configuration logic
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders and leadership to collect and refine requirements, translating business needs into SAP functional specifications
- Ensure that solutions are in alignment with financial procedures and medical claims workflows
