We are looking for a candidate with:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in IT support, help desk, or a similar technical role that interacts with users.
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems (Windows 10/11) and Microsoft Office applications.
- A fundamental understanding of basic networking concepts, including IP addressing and connectivity troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication skills paired with a professional customer service demeanor.
- A keen attention to detail and the capability to adhere to standard processes for triage, documentation, and escalation.
Responsibilities
In this role, I will expect you to:
- Swiftly respond to incoming support requests through service desk tickets, phone calls, and direct inquiries.
- Diagnose and resolve everyday technical issues, including but not limited to:
- Login difficulties
- Printer connectivity or driver problems
- Hardware setup or minor malfunctions
- Application errors (such as issues within Office or browsers)
- Reset passwords and handle basic account access requests using Active Directory or Microsoft 365.
- Assist with user onboarding and offboarding duties, which involve account creation, hardware provision, and permissions configuration.
- Thoroughly document problems, solutions, and follow-up actions within the ticketing system.
- Escalate persistent or unresolved issues to Tier 2 support or system administrators, providing ample details.
- Aid in the basic setup of desktops, laptops, phones, printers, and conferencing systems.
- Contribute to the ongoing documentation efforts, FAQs, and the internal knowledge base.

We are Genesis Revenue Recovery, and we are on the hunt for a reliable and user-oriented IT Support Technician – Tier 1 to provide first-line technical assistance throughout our organization. As the foremost contact for most IT issues, this position is essential in ensuring an efficient and professional IT support experience. This opportunity is perfect for an enthusiastic technician eager to expand their skills in a dynamic, multi-user setting. You will tackle a variety of routine hardware, software, and access-related problems while passing on more intricate incidents to Tier 2 or system administrators. We offer a competitive compensation of $20/hr – $25/hr for this full-time position, along with benefits including a 401(k) plan, dental and health insurance, a life insurance policy, and paid time off. I would like to know if you are comfortable working on-site from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with a one-hour lunch break and two paid breaks.
