Requirements
Must:
- Demonstration of a solid grasp of business principles
- Must be enrolled in an accredited degree program in a related field
- U.S. citizenship is mandatory due to the nature of the work
- Will undergo a U.S. Government security investigation and meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
- Preferred major in English
- Adept in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
- Capability to research unfamiliar technologies and communicate them effectively to end-users
- Strong oral and written communication abilities
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Experience with an XML editor, such as XMLSpy or Arbortext, is advantageous
- Familiarity with basic graphic design principles is a plus
- Understanding of repository-based content management systems like TortoiseSVN is preferred
Responsibilities
- Produce and refine technical documentation in various formats (like .doc, .PDF, HTML, and XML/SGML-tagged IETMs)
- Ensure adherence to military specifications and documentation standards
- Maintain the life cycle of technical documentation, including review and update cycles
- Generate supporting graphics (such as functional block diagrams) in several formats (e.g., .JPEG, .PNG) to enhance documentation
- Conduct quality assurance checks to verify the technical and grammatical precision of documentation
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) during the development and editing process to confirm technical accuracy
