Must:
We require candidates to hold a Bachelors degree in Software Engineering or a related field in Science, Engineering, Technology, or Mathematics. If you possess a Masters degree, we ask for at least 6 years of relevant experience; otherwise, a minimum of 8 years of job-related experience is needed. Experience with Agile methodologies is preferred. Proficiency in Digital Signal Processing (DSP), along with skills in C++ and MATLAB is essential. Additionally, candidates must be able to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance at the time of hire and must meet eligibility requirements for accessing classified information. U.S. citizenship is mandatory due to the nature of work at our facilities.

Responsibilities

In this role, I am looking for a highly skilled and seasoned Senior Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Software Engineer to join our vibrant team focused on undersea sensor systems. Your primary responsibilities will include designing, developing, and implementing advanced DSP algorithms and software solutions tailored for undersea sensor applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver efficient, reliable, and scalable DSP solutions that align with our customers’ needs. Key responsibilities include: - Designing, developing, and optimizing DSP algorithms and software for undersea sensor applications. - Collaborating with hardware and software engineers to integrate DSP solutions into embedded systems for undersea environments. - Conducting performance analysis and optimizing DSP algorithms to ensure reliability in demanding underwater scenarios. - Developing and maintaining documentation for DSP algorithms, software, and systems. - Providing technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers. - Keeping abreast of the latest DSP technologies and industry trends, especially related to undersea sensors. - Participating in design reviews, code reviews, and testing to uphold high-quality deliverables. - Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to DSP software and systems for undersea applications.

We welcome candidates with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline and a minimum of 8 years of experience in DSP software development. An active DoD Secret security clearance is a must. Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong proficiency in C/C++, experience with DSP algorithm development and optimization for undersea sensor applications, and familiarity with DSP hardware platforms. Knowledge of signal processing theory and techniques, particularly in underwater environments, is advantageous, as is experience with MATLAB or comparable tools for algorithm development and simulation.
